About The tour

The Maritime Pro Stock Tour was founded in the spring of 2001 to provide a regional forum offering exciting door-handle to door-handle stock car racing entertainment.

CARQUEST Auto Parts has provided overwhelming support as title sponsor for the series since the beginning. In its relatively short two year existence the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour has earned credibility and support among the competitors, spectators and sponsors.

TOP DRIVERS

Maritime Canadian stock car racers have long been recognized as some of the best in short track racing. The CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour not only provides a forum for some of the best racing action you'll see anywhere, but also a competitive environment for racers, newcomers and veterans, to sharpen their skills.

RACECARS

Racecars driven on the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour have bodies that closely resemble their streetcar counterparts. Body styles must be approved by Tour Officials and must meet strict measurement regulations.

TECHNOLOGY

As goes progress in any industry so does it in stock car racing. As with other industries new technology is largely unproven and usually costly. While each competitor strives to be on the cutting edge not all can afford it so in an effort to provide a level playing field for all the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour is constantly reviewing the latest products and making determinations regarding their use to benefit the majority.

TRACKS

The CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour visits five different race tracks in the three Maritime Provinces on the east coast of Canada: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Facilities are required to meet specific criteria for the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour shows, ensuring quality shows for the audience and the competitors.
