2007 EVENT SCHEDULE
HALIFAX, NS (March 2, 2007) -
Management for the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour is
pleased to announce the series 2007 event schedule,
comprised of 11 events at five venues in the three
Maritimes provinces.
Scotia Speedworld (Halifax,
NS) and Riverside Speedway (James River, NS) will
host three events, New Brunswick International
Speedway (Geary, NB)) sees two shows as does Raceway
Park (Oyster Bed Bridge, PEI) while Centre For Speed
(Shediac, NB) hosts one event. All events will see
two rounds of qualifying (Time Trials and Heat
Races) as well as a feature race, which is 100 laps
at all events except the season finale, a 200-lap
show.
The CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour is
the premiere level of stock car racing in Eastern
Canada, offering consistent exciting entertainment
for race fans. The top drivers in the Maritimes
compete in the series, all hoping for the
prestigious championship title. Unprecedented growth
in car count is expected for this seventh year of
competition in the series. Pre-season indications
from race teams point towards an excess of 20
full-time competitors again, with a car count
average of 30 cars per event. Current champion John
Flemming and past champions Rollie MacDonald, Wayne
Smith and Shawn Tucker are expected to see action.
