New General Manager For Scotia Speedworld and CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour

Halifax, NS (December 7, 2007) – Scotia Speedworld and the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour announces the appointment of Ron J. Clarke as General Manager. Clarke replaces Ken Cunning, who has resigned in order to pursue racing with his son, Scott.

 

Clarke has many years of management experience and expertise in the automotive industry. He was a co-founder of C & R Auto Supply Limited in 1976 and has been the sole owner for the past 16 years. Clarke has been an avid stockcar racing enthusiast and promoter for many years and is greatly looking forward to his new duties as General Manager.

 

Clarke and his wife, Jackie, have been married for over forty years and live in the Halifax area, with strong ties to the South Shore. They have one son James and daughter-in-law Carol Ann. James will assume the leadership role in the family business, as Ron assumes his new position as General Manager of Scotia Speedworld and the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour.

 

Scotia Speedworld is a 3/10-mile asphalt oval stock car racing track featuring the Weekly Racing Series for six divisions and several special events during the race season, which runs from May to September. Scotia Speedworld is located at Exit 6 on Highway 102, across from the Halifax Stanfield International Airport.
