 CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour officials were at the April 18-19-20 Radical Speed Sport Car Show in Moncton promoting what is shaping up to be an exciting '08 season. Four Former Series Champs Register For '08 CARQUEST Tour HALIFAX, NS (April 15, 2008) - The four maritime stock car racing heroes who have claimed championships during the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour's seven-year history have filed 2008 series registration forms. Centre for Speed Date Change Announced (April 14/08) - Management for the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour have announced a date change for the Lucas Oil 150 at Centre for Speed in Shediac, New Brunswick. Previously scheduled for Saturday, August 2 the event has been moved to Sunday, August 3 - necessitated by the recent official announcement that the Eagles will play nearby Magnetic Hill August 2. Busy Season Ahead For CARQUEST Tour HALIFAX, NS (March 10, 2008) - As the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour enters its eighth season, series management are preparing for what looks to be the busiest year yet in the ever-growing stock car touring series. 2008 will see an 11-race schedule at five different venues in the three Maritime Provinces to determine the 2008 series champion - a coveted title among the regional racing fraternity - and one respected far and wide throughout the North American motorsport industry. Tucker Touted as One of Canada's Best HALIFAX, NS (February 20, 2008) – Two-time and defending CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour champion Shawn Tucker has been nominated as a finalist for Canadian Stock Car Racer of the Year by Inside Track News – Canada’s top national motorsport news magazine. Tucker, a resident of Fredericton, New Brunswick, became only the second multi-time champion on the series when he clinched his second title last year, having earned his first series championship in 2004 when he was also nominated for the same award.
